Grand Place, Brussels, Belgium

The Grand Place in Brussels is one of the World Heritage Sites according to UNESCO. It is one of the squares in Europe with the most  beautiful architectural design (Baroque, Gothic and Louis XIV). Historically, the Bruxelles Grand Place was essentially a market place where traders and citizens sold and bought food. The Grand Place is surrounded by main streets: Rue du Midi, Rue Marche aux Herbes and Rue du Lombard but connected by alleys.

Grand Place (Town Hall)
When we went there, it was packed with tourists. The great landmark is the Town hall which looks like a castle. There are a lot of hotels, restaurants and caf├ęs near the Grand Place. Our hotel was only a 3 minute walk so transportation was not a problem.
