Being Gay, Being Loved, Being Happy

my brothers :)
My younger brother married his boyfriend a few months ago.
There are a lot of arguments that we often hear about gay marriage but when I saw how happy they were.. it reminded me why people marry after all.

I believe that it doesn't matter if it's a union between people of the opposite sex or between a man and a man, or a woman and a woman. What matters is that they honor their marriage even in rough times and that they uphold their vows as partners in life.

His being gay was never an issue in our family. We love him the same way. There was one time when my younger son asked me why they are allowed to get married? He said it should only be between a girl and a boy. Then he asked me, is my uncle gay? I simply smiled and said yes he is. I explained to him that they love each other and want to spend the rest of their life together.

I want my kids to be broad-minded. To see the diversity of life. Honestly, I don't mind if other parents criticize me for exposing my children to such an idea. I do not want my kids to be one of those who discriminate people because they are gay. I want them to grow up and always be reminded that all people have the right to be respected, to be loved and to be happy.
