Vatican Museums

Exit @ Vatican Museum
We visited Vatican Museum in 2007 and 2010. Aside from the unforgettable experience from seeing all the artifacts, I would say that the queue before we got inside is one thing I wouldn't forget.

In 2007, we bought the ticket on the day at Vatican Museum. The line just to purchase the ticket is almost a kilometer long. Imagine the heat of the summer sun... So with our 2010 visit, I made sure that I purchased our tickets in advance via their website.   http://biglietteriamusei.vatican.va

I paid 15 Euro each for our tickets and 8 Euro each for the kids. There is a 4 Euro reservation fee for each tickets purchased online. Even with the admission tickets, it is advisable to be at the entrance on the Vatican Museum even before the opening hours because the queue for online purchases tends to be long as well.

The Vatican Museums are among the greatest museums in the world, since they display works from the immense collection built up by the Roman Catholic Church throughout the centuries, including some of the most renowned classical sculptures and most important masterpieces of Renaissance art in the world.

Travel Tip :) if you are traveling with children, disabled, pregnant or elderly and you need to queue for tickets, you can approach the guard and they will let you cut the line.
