Museo delle Antichità Egizie - Turin, Italy

mummy display in the museum

The Museo delle Antichità Egizie is the only museum other than the Cairo Museum that is dedicated solely to Egyptian art and culture. Many international scholars, since the decipherer of Egyptian hieroglyphs Jean-François Champollion, who came to Turin in 1824,
spend much time pouring over the collections.

We didn't have reservations when we arrived but the line at the ticket booth is not that long. As we entered the Museum, I felt that I wasn't in Italy.  Egypt's history was well manifested through the artifacts that were in the museum.
