What to do in Male? -the Capital of Republic of Maldives

Our Maldives trip was one of those trips we did without planning. We googled countries that don't require a visa for Filipino citizens. We decided to visit Maldives since we were beach and nature lovers. We left Dubai without a hotel booking! Just round trip tickets via Emirates.

The Maldivian Archipelago is located 300 miles southwest of the tip of the India and 450 miles west of Sri Lanka. The beautiful string of 1,190 low lying coral islands scattered across the equator in the vast spread of the Indian Ocean.

The visa was on arrival. It was just a stamp that allowed us to stay for a maximum of 30 days. We spent our first night at Male -  Maldives capital. We met a couple of Filipinos who work in the different Atolls of Maldives. They were really nice. They gave us ideas on what to do and where to stay.
