Bandos Island Resort - Maldives

Click for our Maldives Travel Video:

We went to Maldives in 2007. We found out about Bandos Island Resort when we were in Male (Maldives capital) and met Filipinos gathered around (Maldives Capital). One of them was married to the Financial Manager of the resort so it was very easy to contact the resort. The next day we were on our way there.

boat transfer from Male to Bandos Island

Bandos have their own boat to pick up guests. The trip took at around 20 to 30 minutes. It was a relaxing trip since you can see the other atolls in Maldives. Upon arrival at the resort, we were given welcome drinks and the staff were really nice.

Bandos Island Resort

Our package was with full board so we had buffet meals all day. The food was GREAT. It was freshly cooked and one of the chefs told me that their vegetables were homegrown. They harvest them just before cooking. That's how fresh they were. Looking around, the guests were mostly American and European. We were the only Filipinos but we met some Asians who were from Japan and Korea.

An Island near Bandos

The beach was very nice. White sand, clear water and the quiet surroundings was very relaxing.

At night time, we enjoyed the pool that was very near our villa.

They have a bulletin board in the resort lobby of the activities they offer. Dates and times were there. To book the activity, we just had to tell the front desk officer. We went for a sunset dolphin cruise and island hopping the next day.
